Catholic Education
In their recent pastoral letter Catholic Schools at the Crossroads the Bishops of NSW and ACT reminded us that “The Catholic school system is one of the ‘jewels in the crown’ of the Catholic community. It has provided high-quality education to generations of young Australians and has been a major arm of the Church’s engagement with youth. We wish to acknowledge the achievements of those who have built and served our school system – staff, parents and parish – and to record the gratitude of the Church for this (Catholic Schools at the Crossroads, p6)”
St Patrick’s School
St. Patrick’s Parish School is located in the heart of the city of Albury. It is a school which is strong in tradition, dating back to 1855, when the first school was opened in St. Patrick’s Parish. The school and the Parish work closely to provide quality education for all children enrolled. Our current enrolment is 474 students, with 21 classes.
Xavier High School
In keeping with this tradition Xavier High School, as the Catholic Secondary School servicing Albury and region, aims to work with parents and parishes to provide an education within the context of Gospel values, which allows each individual to develop to the best of his/her abilities – spiritually, academically, physically and emotionally.
