MERRY CHRISTMAS!

New Parish Priest
Fr Joel Wallace has been appointed as Parish Priest of St Patrick’s Church in Albury. His appointment will commence the first weekend in February 2012.

Albury Parishes Eucharistic Adoration
Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, Thurgoona. Friday 6th January from 8.00pm, to midnight. All welcome.

The Collections – Where does your money go?
The First Collection: Provides a stipend for the Priests of the Diocese and for charitable works and other works of the Diocese.
The Second Collection: 50% of the Planned Giving (envelopes) is used to repay loans for the school buildings and 50% is kept by the Parish. Loose money in the second collection (both notes and coins) are kept by the Parish. All money kept by the Parish is used for Parish upkeep and the charitable works and other works of the Parish.

St Patrick’s Youth Group
There will be no Youth Group meeting on the first Sunday in January 2012.

Albury Young Adults 18-35 Years
The discussion group for young adults will be taking a break over the Christmas period and will start up again on Wednesday 18th January 2012 at 7.00pm upstairs in the St Patrick’s Hall. For more information please call Miriam on 0400 419 981.

Mary’s Junior League
Mary’s Junior League meets on the first Wednesday of the month from 3.30pm to 5.00pm. For information please ring Anna on 6023 3838.

Diosecan Youth Ministry Worker
(21hpw – 3 days per week, negotiable)

Mother’s Group
St Patrick’s Parish Mothers’ Group will meet on Friday 13th January 2012 at 10.30am in the supper room of the parish hall. All mothers with babies and young children are warmly invited to come along. For more information please contact Carmen Price on 0418 637 707.

St Vincent de Paul Special Collection
Thank you to everyone who gave so generously last weekend to the St Vincent de Paul Special Collection. $1470.00 was collected.

Please leave gifts and non-perishable food under the Christmas Tree for distribution to needy families by St Vincent de Paul Society.

Christmas cards and Columban calendars are now available at the church door. Cards $5.50 per pack of ten. Columban Calendars $8.00 each.

Lectors for Christmas Masses
If you would like to volunteer to be a Lector or Commentator for any of the Christmas Day Masses, could you please write your name on the form at the back of the church.

Children’s Nativity Play
Mary’s Junior League for children in Primary school and under will present a Children’s Nativity Play on Thursday 22nd December at 6.00pm sharp in St Patrick’s Parish Hall, Smollett Street. Drinks, nibbles and a visit from Santa. The play only lasts for about 15 minutes so please don’t be late. Details on flyers at the back of the church.

Meals on Wheels
St Patrick’s Meals on Wheels Team will deliver meals the week commencing Monday 19th December.

St Patrick’s Youth Group

Fr Michael Kennedy
Fr Michael Kennedy has been appointed Bishop of Armidale Diocese and therefore will no longer be taking up the position of Parish Priest of St. Patrick’s. Fr Lee will continue as Administrator until another Parish Priest has been appointed.
