New Translation of the Mass

Pope Benedict XVI has approved a new translation of the Mass which the Catholic Church will adopt around the world by 1st November 2011 (All Saints Day). We at St Patrick’s will begin using the new translation on Sunday 12th June (Pentecost Sunday). There will be copies of the new translation available in the church foyer and the parish office  from Tuesday 3rd May. Fr Lee will be holding an information day (given again in the evening) on the new translation of the Mass in early May.

Albury Parishes Eucharistic Adoration

Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, Thurgoona on Friday 6th may from 8:00pm to midnight. All welcome. Will you not watch one hour with me?

Albury Parish Mission

Fr. George McInnes, Father of Mercy, will run a Parish Mission from 14th May to 19th May at St. Mary’s Church Jindera. Each night at 7:30pm – Talk/Meditation, Adoration and Confession. All welcome.

Fr Michael Kennedy will be leading a 16 day pilgrimage of Eastern European places of Catholic heritage commencing Thursday 16th June. Places visited will include Prague, Czestochowa, Auschwitz, Wadowice, Krackow, Zakopane, Budapest, Ludbreg and Zagreb with an optional Croatia combination. Flyers are available in the church foyer.

Easter Greetings

Easter Hat Parade and Easter Egg Hunt

An Easter Hat Parade and Easter Egg Hunt will be held after the Sunday 10:30am Mass on Easter Sunday. There will be a prize for the best hat. Bring your hats along and keep them in your car until after Mass, then put them on for a parade across the presbytery verandah.

Anzac Day

Mass for Anzac Day will  be held at St Patrick’s Church, Albury on Monday 25th April at 7:00am and will include representatives of the RSL and the Last Post.

Xavier High School

Friday 10th June is the closing date for Applications for Enrolment for Year 7 2012. Should you require an Enrolment Application, please contact the office. Families with siblings already enrolled at Xavier are still required to complete an Application for Enrolment for any child commencing Year 7 2012. The opportunity has arisen for families new to the school to commence enrolment interviews sooner than expected. On receipt of your application you will be contacted inviting you to make an enrolment interview. Applications for Academic Scholarships for Year 7 2012 close on Friday 27th May with the testing date being Thursday 16th June. Assistant Priest

Fr. Peter Ryan has kindly agreed to make himself available to assist here at St. Patrick’s Parish until early in July. We welcome Fr. Ryan to our Parish.

After consultation with the Parish Council, Benedict Wilson has been appointed as our new Parish Musical Director. We wish Benedict well in his new position.

Found

A car key to a Volkswagen motor vehicle was found in the Church last week. A Sunday Missal was left at a newsagency in Albury and was handled into the presbytery. Please call the presbytery on 6041 2588.
